Get ready to hear about my #zappostour! Guys, I've never seen anything like this. @zappos #insidezappos. This is Erika, who showed my group around the place. And I'm wearing a #crown and sitting on a #throne cause...hey, I can.
First, I totally recommend this as a stop for anyone involved in #business. I'll elaborate further as to why, but my tour-mates were #businessmen, interested purely in how this company is so successful. We talked a lot about #zapposculture vs the regular business model, and it's beyond #impressive.
Before you roll your eyes think I'm brown-nosing (yes, I'm dying to work here,) know that I just left my job @1800contacts and had SUCH a hard time doing it. 1800Contacts is such an awesome company. ❤️ I loved it there. But did you know that #1800Contacts actually used Zappos as a major part of their business model? So take my love of 1800Contacts, and what a great company they are...and then factor in my mind being blown today by Zappos. I could rave about any company, but those who knew my love & loyalty to 1800Contacts know it would take a lot to impress me. And impressed I was!!

First, let's talk about the #OpenOffice design @Zappos. What you're looking at is #TonyHsieh's desk. You know, the top guy. Right in the middle of his co-worker's. This open office means that anyone can come in. No big office for one big wig. This room has the desks of all the #topdogs like Tony, but it's down the hall (NO DOORS!!) to the desks where new employees train. Literally co-mingling. When #zappos says everyone is important and equal, they mean it. They don't just #talkthetalk, they actually #walkthewalk.
Okay friends, let's talk about this next!! Need your car washed? #Helperz will get it done for you. Dry cleaning? Yep. Tickets to that thing you love? (Look again; the tickets are now diamonds! #ImOnAHorse.) This employee #concierge service gets it done. And that #VIP lounge you see? Oh, that's just your personal #lifecoach. Whether you want to learn Spanish, become a doctor, or even just move up in the company, they help you #setgoals and keep you on track to complete them.
